After celebrating Neal’s 60th birthday in St. Augustine, family and friends departed for home and we moved the party a whopping 53 miles down the road to Daytona Beach. Our longtime friends Carl and Lisa moved to this area several years ago. This is a favorite stop year after year. As a bonus our friends from home
Nancy & George were camping nearby and our friends Audrey and

Joe had recently moved to the Daytona area also. It was a week of fun and frivolity and the beginning of our Rock Star demise ( post # 8 ~ Too Old to Party Like a Rock Star).

Carl & Lisa also took us to Racing’s North Turn in Ponce Inlet. This beach side bar and restaurant sits at the exact location where racing began in 1936. Great food, drinks, ocean view along with a racing history lesson.

Hence the Rock star demise…
