Bio: I have been camping since my parents crammed my brother and I (plus Sam our golden retriever) into the back of a Ford Bronco where we were hidden within a maze of Coleman camping equipment. My husband's family trips of his wonder years were spent jammed into the back of a Rambler with SIX siblings as they headed north to a cabin in the Adirondacks of Upstate New York. When we met, he had a Jayco Tent Camper and I was the proud owner a two man Coleman tent. Quite easily, he persuaded me that his pop up was the best choice for our camping excursions. My tiny tent has remained in storage since. We bought our first motorhome, a 32 foot Fleetwood Fiesta, 13 years ago and spent our summers exploring the hot spots of the United States and Canada. (Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Badlands National Park, Coastal Maine, Major League Baseball Parks, Montreal, Toronto, New York City, Boston, East Coast Beaches, Black Hills South Dakota, Little Bighorn Battlefield, New Orleans) Through the years we have upgraded our motorhome and now spend half the year (more or less) wandering the countryside, sometimes aimlessly, other times with intent. The other half of the year (more or less), I wake to an early morning alarm while my husband snuggles his retired self farther into his pillow, and I rush off to spend my days substituting at local school districts.

  1. I just love your profile picture and your header photo! I have similar photos of a glacier landing from Talkeetna and of Mt. McKinley from the overlook in Talkeetna. We did our Alaska trip in 2013.

    Thanks for following my blog!

    1. Thank you! We went to Alaska in 2011 and every once in awhile I get slightly depressed it is over. We loved it all but one of our favorite towns was Talkeetna. We did (sort of ) a blog for that trip also. It was called otisthethirstydog. Do you have your photos on this blog? I would love to see them.
